Description
Benzac AC® Gel is an aid in the treatment of acne and is available in 3 strengths for topical application.
Always start treatment with either 2.5% or 5% gel and be sure to read the information leaflet inside the pack before you begin.
Dosage/How To Use
Benzac AC® Gel is a spot treatment and should only be applied to affected areas. Wash and dry your hands before applying the gel. Unless your doctor or pharmacist has told you otherwise, follow these three steps.

What strength Benzac AC® Gel
There are 3 strengths of Benzac AC® Gel. 2.5%, 5% and 10%. The percentage refers to the amount of the active benzoyl peroxide in the gel.
It is recommended that you always begin treatment with either 2.5% or 5% Benzac AC®. If your acne persists, and provided your skin tolerates the lower strength gel, your doctor or pharmacist may recommend continued treatment with the higher strength gel (10%).
How long you will need to use Benzac AC® will depend on how quickly your condition improves. After you have used it for one month, you should see your doctor or pharmacist again so they can check the improvement in your condition

Composition: Benzac AC 5 wash contains 5 g benzoyl peroxide per 100 g in an aqueous gel base with glycerol and acrylates copolymer. Pharmacological classification: A 13.12 acne preparations. Pharmacological action: Benzoyl peroxide has in vitro bactericidal activity as well as keratolytic properties and reduces the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum. Indications: Benzac AC 5 wash is indicated for the topical treatment of acne vulgaris. Identification: White to off-white, smooth gel with a faint odour. Presentation: Plastic tubes containing 100 gram. Contains: 5 g benzoyl peroxide per 100 g in an aqueous gel base with glycerol and acrylates copolymer. Indications: For the topical treatment of acne vulgaris.
- Aside from Benzoyl Peroxide, Benzac AC5 Wash 100g contains a water-based formula that cleanses skin without irritating it. The formula hydrates skin by releasing glycerin, and the acrylic bead formulation absorbs excess sebum to reduce oiliness.
How to Use:
Apply BENZAC AC 5 Wash to the affected areas, whilst avoiding contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Rub in gently with finger tips and leave in contact with skin for 30 seconds before rinsing off with water. Pat dry.
